So no, I didn’t post it on the weekend. Shame on me, shame I say!
Did you know that there are over 13 different themes of Monopoly currently in production? And that’s not including all the “commemorative” and “regional” editions. There’s a whole panoply of monopoly variants out there! What would you do without me, internet?
The interview went well. I think it did. On my side of the table it was all roses and candy shaped hearts and, lets face it, second rate metaphors. We will now sit back and await tertiary contact.
There was one moment which threw me – the nice people asked about this here site. Then checked it. I sat there looking embarrassed as the nice people went through the archive. I actually cringed. D’you know what shocked me about all that? I was actually embarrassed of my own damned site! Not the site itself (thought it needs some work) but the fact that I do this for fun.
It got me thinking about how I deal with people asking me about the comic in the real world. As you all know, in internet-comic-land I am as Adonis, with gleaming muscles honed, nay machined, by hours of intense comic production. No room for modesty there. But when asked about it by people, actual people, I get dismissive. As if I somehow feel that these people who want to know about my work will somehow judge me harshly over the very medium we share an interest in.
I don’t recall ever feeling this insecure.
