About
The Comic
Zero Effort could be described as a non-segued story about the need to grow up. It details the (oddness? frustrations? lollipops?) stuff that one encounters in this wide world. It may even be a journal about some guy and his laughable frustrations with the bulk of humanity.
This comic started at university. Badly drawn caricatures of classmates and professors. Low quality humour on even lower quality paper. Most of the characters owe their existence to this trying time, with one liners sparking entire strips. With time, these pieces were tidied up a bit then transferred to the internet. This process gathered momentum as I learned how to draw and write. I’m still learning. The result is now a comic that tries to update weekly.

I enjoy cool autumn days, fresh coffee, pastries and frequently overusing… ellipses.
My love of comics began back in primary school. Teachers frequently found the contents of my text books had been replaced with scribbles. These scribbles depicted the adventures of a puppy called “Splot”, who loved pizza and hated Wednesdays. This strip will never be shown to a living soul as long as Jim Davis lives.
These days I find myself increasingly conflicted between my area of study (Bachelor of Commerce – Marketing) and my love of comics. With no obvious means of reconciliation available, it is very possible that I will sit behind this desk, frozen with indecision, until the robots rise up and assimilate us all.
